About Me
Hi, I'm Kari. I am the Founder of Launch Academy - a program that teaches 8-12 year olds how to create digital experiences.
We focus on 4 C’s - Creativity, Coding, Collaboration and Confidence.

My son and daughter both love playing video games. We started creating small gmaes together in Scratch. There were so many opportunities to learn the basics of Computer Science and Visual Design in a fun and accessible way.
I thought how cool would it be if we could put together a group of their peers and all learn together. This is how Launch Academy was born!

The future of work is collaborative. Giving children a chance to weigh in on each other’s work, hear feedback from their peers and take ownership over their project has motivated them more than any lecture I could ever give.
My job as a teacher is not to prepare the students for something but to teach them how to prepare themselves for anything.
